The good news is that our region will soon have more qualified specialists in the electronics industry. Daugavpils University, together with leading companies in the region, has developed a new study programme in “Electronics”, which is currently accepting applications until 18 August. The idea for the programme came from the growing demand among local companies for professionally trained employees, combined with the development priorities of Daugavpils City Municipality and the wider region.
We are especially pleased that SMD Baltic is one of the companies that took part in developing this study programme. We believe that a company’s responsibility goes beyond simply creating jobs. It is also important for us to share our experience, help develop professional skills, and contribute to building a stronger electronics industry in our region.
As an electronics manufacturing company, we are very interested in providing internship opportunities for students and giving them the chance to gain practical experience. At the same time, this will allow future specialists to get to know SMD Baltic and consider us as a potential employer after graduation.
For students, it will be an opportunity to discover modern electronics manufacturing not only in theory, but also in a real production environment - to see the processes, technologies and requirements that electronics professionals work with every day.
